Time for some fun with Family Yoga!

Carla Evans

Hi everyone,

I'd like to introduce you to the wonderful Antje and her fantastic, local Flow and Grow Family Yoga workshops and classes.  As you will read below, these classes provide children and grown ups with a chance to have fun, connect, move your bodies and relax in a truly supportive environment.  Antje has a beautiful warm smile and welcoming energy creating a class environment where both children and adults will feel safe enough to relax and have fun.  I asked Antje a few questions recently to give you a feel for her and the classes.

You've even been given a special discount code for 15% off classes - just add COLLECTIVE15 at checkout.  Thanks Antje!

Connecting at Family Flow and Grow Yoga
Connecting at Family Flow and Grow Yoga

What would you love the parents and children to feel when they walk out of your yoga classes?

Connected.

For the children - that they just had a really fun time with mum or dad without any distractions (or interference from pesky siblings  )

For the adults - calm yet energised; refreshed and less anxious about all the "adult stuff" out there.

What would you say to a parent or child who has never done yoga before and are nervous about attending?

Just come and give it a try! This is a safe space to just be with each other, connect and have fun while moving our bodies. Yoga meets you where you're at, and there is no right or wrong.

What age group of children are the classes most suitable for?

The sessions I currently offer are best suited to ages 3 to 12. I offer a shorter, 45 minute session for the younger groups (3-5) and a longer, 75 minute session for the older groups (6-12).

I am also working on running a regular class for mums with toddlers and babies who have outgrown (i.e., they're too mobile for) the usual mums & bubs yoga classes! Think yoga meets playgroup :)

What do you love the most about parent and child yoga classes?

Gosh, that's a hard one - there are so many things! I love that parents make intentional time to just be with their children. I love witnessing the joy and laughter that's in the room. I love the community that builds through shared experience. And I love how each parent-child couple brings their own, unique creativity to the poses and games I offer.

When is your next class! / Do you have a 2025 schedule of classes?

Workshops return at the end of March, and I have several sessions scheduled until the end of November. Bookings will open on 29th January. Each workshop is self-contained, so you can book one or 3 or 5. :)

If anyone is interested in the yoga playgroup, they can email me at hello@antjeguenther.com with an expression of interest.

So there you have it - a beautiful way to spend some quality time with your child without distractions (or screens!).  And I suspect you might just have a little bit of fun yourself!

You can read more on the Flow and Grow Family Yoga website , Facebook or Instagram and the direct link the booking page.

Happy connecting!

Carla :)
