Never lose a recipe again!

Carla Evans

What gorgeous summer weather we are still having, I hope you are all able to get outside and enjoy it at some stage.

A client shared a great recipe app recently - it could be one of those things that everyone already knows about and I'm just the last to catch up but just incase...it's called Paprika Recipe Manager.

I do get sick of scrolling through my bookmarked web pages or photos to try and find that recipe I saw a few weeks ago so I thought I'd give this a go and there are so many things I love about it including:

  • It allows you to save recipes from websites plus add your own from photos.

  • When you save a recipe from a website it is reformatted so you don't get all the annoying ads yay!  But it will still show the link so you can go back to the original website if needed.

  • You can edit recipes if you change an ingredient or an amount - like putting less sugar in baking recipes!

  • You can make little notes to remind yourself of something next time like 'Grease the muffin trays with butter next time Carla 'cos the oil didn't work!'

  • You can create categories to organise your recipes.

  • You can sync it across devices so you can look at it on the larger screen of a tablet rather than a phone when cooking - then you can see the ingredients and method at the same time (I still find it easy to use the phone though).

There are other functions which I've not tried yet such as creating menus, meal plans and grocery lists, but even if you don't use them, I feel like the $7.99 for the app is well worth it.  Here's what it looks like in the app store:

Let me know what you think or if you have a different recipe manager app that you love.

Happy recipe-ing!

Carla :)

P.S. Want to re-read a previous email but have deleted it? (accidentally of course!) Not to fear - all previous emails are available on the website blog  or facebook.

P.P.S. Online bookings are available for current clients.
