PTSD & natural therapies

Hi everyone,

Apologies for the lack of emails over the past couple of weeks, it's been a bit hectic trying to cram in some study before the end of the year!

This week I'd like to share a podcast with you.  There are two reasons I'd like to share this podcast - the first is because it's about PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) which I think many people are trying to deal with but having little success.  And secondly because it may open people's minds about the benefits of natural therapies for PTSD.  In this podcast a veteran of the armed forces in the UK speaks about her experience and how she's not only used homeopathy with great success for herself but has now become a practitioner of homeopathy so she can help other veterans around the world.

Here are the podcast details:

Ep 76: Homeopathic Support for Veterans with Gabby Arthur

Homeopathy Hangout with Eugénie Krüger

We often link PTSD with people who have worked in the armed forces or emergency services due to the obvious trauma they get exposed to.  However, the interviewer in the podcast makes an interesting point about PTSD in mum's and babies who have experienced a traumatic birth and how sometimes post-natal depression may be a mis-diagnosis and PTSD is more relevant.

The energy of an unresolved trauma can get stored in the connective tissue of the body creating blockages in the meridian pathways which leads to physical, mental, emotional and energetic symptoms.  If you feel you may be experiencing PTSD please contact a healthcare practitioner that you feel comfortable with to discuss what types of therapies may be most beneficial for you.  There are many options in both the mainstream and natural medicine fields so if one thing doesn't work for you please try something else until you find something or someone that resonates with you.

Happy listening!

Carla :)
