Jumping for joy!

Carla Evans

Hi everyone,

If you need a giggle to lighten your day, click on the photo below to watch this video of Gypsy literally jumping for joy that her dinner is on its way. She does this every single meal time. It's like she can't contain her excitement and has to jump it out of her body!

Movement is so important for helping us to move emotions through the body. Emotions can be thought of as e-motions or energy - in - motion. Unresolved emotions can be stored in the cells, tissues and organs of the body. Movement literally helps emotions move towards resolution.

What movement genuinely feels good for you? I like a variety of movements - movement where force needs to be exerted such as doing push ups; movements with flow like dance; movements with breath work like yoga; focussed movement like pilates and movement outside in nature like walking. They all help in different ways and we might need different types of movement in different phases of life. Maybe you need to be in water. Maybe you need the gentlest of movement. Maybe you need music to move to. Maybe you need to move with other people, or animals. Maybe you need the tissue movement from receiving a massage. Maybe you actually need to be still and use breathing and visualisation to create internal movement.

The options are endless, but if you have unresolved emotions (which I'm pretty sure we all do unless you are fully spiritually awakened) then you need to move regularly in some way, shape or form.

What needs to be moved within you? How does it want to be moved?

Happy moving!

Carla :)
